Hi all, 

REGISTER FOR EVENT WITH $20 non-refundable payment. Game cost will be based on qty of games played, some teams will get 2, 3 or 4 games depending on number of teams signed up. 

Cost per game played is 100. There are no BRACKETS or awards, just knocking off rust and testing situations for Player and Umpire training.

For the Saturday training games, I am using modified rules to increase training situations for Umpires and teams to work on. Please note with these modified situations, the innings will go REALLY FAST. hustle in and out. 

General rules of training or showcase games.
-Flip for home.

ALL BATTERS start with 1-1 pitch count (One strike and one ball).

-1st inning runner starts on 1st Base
-2nd inning REGULAR with no runners on base.
-3rd inning runner starts on 2nd Base
-4th inning bases loaded
-5th inning runners start on 1B and 3B
-6th inning runners start on 1B and 2B

Registration Process

Hi all,

It is that time of year again for our super popular 1-day SPRING TRAINING SERIES. Registration link below. 

Beginning Saturday, March 7th and March 14 and possibly March 21. 

We run our 1 day shake off the rust events. We call it SPRING TRAINING and it is played on Saturdays. 

We MAY offer Fridays depending on weather outlook and it will be treated as a separate event.

ENTRY COST: $20 to register your team ONLINE through your manager account and is non-refundable. 

PER GAME COST: An additional $100 per game/team (REFUNDABLE for WEATHER ISSUES). This fee covers leather Balls, Facility and Liability insurance, Field Rental and Umpire fees. There are NO awards for these training events. 

This $100 cost per team/game will be paid via Venmo or after games are scheduled, this minimizes financial headaches of processing refunds in case of a rainout. If there is a lighting fee it will be an extra $15, but night games are NOT planned unless needed !! 

TIMES: SATURDAY between 9am to approx 6pm. IF we do offer any Fridays, games will start after 1pm.

LOCATION: PEAK complex , Grantville, Utah

CONCESSIONS WILL BE FULLY OPEN.

Teams will be scheduled 2-4 games for SATURDAY against same age teams. In some cases, you may have only 2 games on Saturday. But we are planning on scheduling 3 games for all teams. Qty of games depends on the number of teams playing. 

Teams are allowed to use this time to coach on the field or dugout, move players around, get used to the USSSA online roster/guest play system and allow the Umpires to get training done. So, you may see 2, 3 or 4 umpires on a field.

We will be using showcase rules so each inning will have runners on various bases and a 1-1 pitch count in the box. This ensures Umpire training of different situations and your players will also get opportunities to work with runners on bases, sliding, lead offs, etc. The 1-1 batter count will encourage the batters to swing and the game to move very rapidly!

Your team will be awarded RANKING and POWER points. These points count towards RING POINTS RACE for the West region. 

NOTE: Cities are short employees and have to work overtime and contractors to maintain fields and facilities. So please NOTE this year at ALL USSSA events, there will be a $30 per game surcharge IF your team leaves trash in the dugout, under or on the bleachers or alone the foul lines. PICK IT up or you will be issued a $30/game fee. NO EXCEPTIONS.

No PETS, Smoking, Vaping, Alcohol, Scooters, Boards or Bike are allowed past the entrance gate at all USSSA events. Some cities may allow pets as they self-insure, but this does not supersede the no Pets policy.
